*The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages describes the linguistic ability on a scale of levels from A1 beginners and which reaches to C2 for those who master a language. This allows all those involved in teaching or language exams (students, teachers, teacher trainers, etc) to be able to easily identify the appropriate level for the different diplomas. It also makes it easier for employers and educational institutions to compare the different diplomas and their relationship with the exams they are familiar in their own country.
